About Me

I have been a practicing art therapist since 1999 and have been supporting children/youth with exceptionalities and their families since 1990. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Certified Canadian Counsellor, Registered Canadian, and BC Art Therapist. I have advanced Gottman couples training and provide clinical supervision with a specialization in art-based supervision; as well as contemplative and mindfulness practices with the Labyrinth and SoulCollage.

A little about me, my husband and I have been married for 24 years and we have 3 sons. We spend our time between Langley and Osoyoos, BC. In Langley, we offer services in a private naturalized park, a biodiverse space for wildlife, native plants, grasses, and insects. I walk the grassy trails with clients of all ages through the seasons that mirror the natural rhythm of life. Intentional seating is available to enjoy the sounds and sights of native birds, squirrels, and bunnies or quiet moments to gaze at the clouds or the wind in the grasses. Our naturalized park is surrounded by neighboring farms where we enjoy the familiar sounds of horses, cows, goats, and more. During summer, a bounty of sweet blackberries come available for clients to pick and take home if they wish. In Osoyoos, I offer specialized retreats, workshops, and counseling appointments at the Burrowing Owl Estate Winery where we are surrounded by vines, a burrowing owl sanctuary, restaurant, guest house, and the arid desert paradise to explore.

Nature’s bouquet awaits clients to support their restoration and renewal. Working in and with nature supports both clients and my personal wellness. My services offer a unique confidential outdoor experience to support a variety of client and supervisee needs.

What I Do

When working with her clients at her clinic, she employs relaxing techniques to help them calm down and feel at peace. She uses therapeutic approaches such as aromatherapy, calm music, and low lighting to entice a sense of peace and tranquility so her clients’ thoughts are slowed down, allowing them to relax and better able to share their issues. Her passion is based on offering timely, relevant services that help individuals, children, youth, couples. and families, build stronger relationships and learn strategies that help them better cope with their mental health concerns.
